New Years Day 2012! Wow! What a year!

Another year has gone by and we have fabulous memories from it!   Major milestones include our Disney Cruise in February. We stopped off in St. Augustine to visit Castillo de San Marcos and The Fountain of Youth. Yes, we drank the water!

In March, we did a mini get-away to Rodanthe and Ocracoke…it was wonderful!  Then it was Birthday celebrations for my youngest, niece, grandfather, and sister!  April is a very busy month!

Then we (my partner and mom) went on our company trip to Palm Springs.  WOW.  Life is GOOD.

During the summer, we practically lived at the beach.  The boys took surfing lessons through WRV, a local surf shop.  It was spectacular!!!  Can’t wait to do it again.  Somewhere between spring and summer, we got a puppy!  Mario!  Guess who named him??? The boys went all over Hampton Roads over the summer, visiting the Botanical Gardens, Virginia Marine Science Museum, and the Natural Living Museum.

Right after school started, we took a mini-vacation to Wintergreen and Monticello.  Wintergreen is too much fun!  Between the sky high bungee jumping and the waterless tubing, we had a blast!
Halloween was fun!  We made the family rounds and ate way too much candy!
Fall is my favorite time of the year.  My hubby and I hiked the Noland Trail…more like strolled the Noland Trail!  Got some awesome shots.
Santa visited us 2 times this year.  Once at our house – with a house full of tickled pink kids who happen to be on the Autism Spectrum.  It so great to share this experience with such a wonderful group of people.   Then, Santa visited us at Kempsville Elementary.  If you live in Hampton Roads, you should have Santa visit you next year!  It is indescribable.
On New Years Eve, we took a road trip down to Corolla in North Carolina.  Four Wheeling and collecting shells in close to 70 degree weather-priceless.
We had a GREAT year!  There may not be a Disney Cruise this year…but more spectacular memories will be made 🙂  Happy New Year!
