Meeting at Tidewater Autism Society and on Facebook

Tuesday, January 17 at 6:30pm

Spectrum Parents is a group of parents who share everyday challenges & successes of raising kids on the Autism Spectrum. We talk online at https://www.facebook.com/groups/spectrumparents/ and meet IRL (in real life).  If you would like join us, just visit the page, and ask to join.  It is a closed group which keeps it a safe and comfortable environment.

Our next IRL meeting is Tuesday, January 17 at 6:30.  For more information, email suzinoyes@williamewood.com.

If you are just getting started or have been on this road a while, it is a great place to learn about new resources and get much needed support.

Resources:

EDCD Waiver: helps with medical expenses and provides both attendant and respite care.  This is based on your child’s income, not yours.  To find out more, contact Theresa McMillian at TZMcMillan@versar.com.

PELE Clinic at William & Mary: Need IEP help?  The PELE clinic provides law students by helping special-needs children and their families with eligibility or Individualized Education Program meetings and more.  Yes, they will help in our area, too.  To apply, call(757) 221-5735.
